Empanada de carne

Ingredientes (2-4 personas):

Para la masa:

* 150-200gr de harina
* 1 ½ cucharada de levadura prensada de panadería
* ¼ de taza de agua tibia
* 6-8 cucharadas del sofrito del relleno

* 250gr carne picada de cerdo
* 2 dientes de ajo
* 1 pimiento rojo
* 1 cucharadita de orégano
* 1 cucharadita de pimentón rojo
* 1 cucharada de agua
* Aceite de oliva
* Sal
* Pimienta
* 1 cebolla

Buen provecho!!!

Meat Pie

Ingredients (2-4 people):

To make the dough:

* 150-200gr plain flour
* 1 ½ tablespoon of dried yeast
* ¼ cup of warm water
* 6-8 tablespoons of oil from the cooked meat

Preparation:

- In a bowl, put flour. Make a hole in the centre and put dried yeast dissolved in warm water.
- Stir well using a wood spoon. Add the oil from the cooked meat pan, a pinch of salt and mix everything.
- On a floured surface, place the dough and knead it well for 10 minutes.
- Place again in a floured bowl, cover with a kitchen cloth and leave it to stand for 1 hour.

To make the filling:

* 250gr of mince pork meat
* 2 garlic cloves
* 1 red pepper
* 1 tablespoon of oregano
* 1 tablespoon of paprika
* 1 tablespoon of water
* Olive oil
* Salt
* Pepper
* 1 onion

Preparation:

- In a bowl, mash garlic cloves, oregano, paprika, salt pepper and water. Dip the meat in the mixture.
- In a pan, heat oil and fry meat. Reserve it in its oil.
- Cut the onion and pepper into little pieces. Sauté in a low heat. When it’s tender, add the meat. Dress with salt and pepper.

Final preparation:

- Divide the dough in two portions. Spread each part over a floured surface in order to make a rectangle.
- Place in an oven tray with baking paper and fill in with meat mixture.
- Cover with the other rectangle and seal both parts using a fork.
- Make a hole in the centre to avoid that it breaks when baking. Paint the dough with egg and milk mixture.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180ºC for 25-30 minutes.

It’s been the first time that I prepared this kind of homemade dough and I liked it very much, it’s much better than if you buy one..Bon appetite!
